We are delighted to share with you the latest treatment impact results delivered across all six regional fistula hospitals at Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia.
Treatment results this year continue to be very encouraging. Hamlin's medical team continues to meet and exceed all treatment targets as momentum to eradicate obstetric fistula from Ethiopia once and for all gains pace.
Hamlin's Patient Identification Program to find women living with historical fistula injuries recommenced at the end of January - as a result, outpatient numbers and surgeries increased. Hamlin's surgical team has operated on 1,314 women in the eleven months from July 2020 to May 2021.
We are extremely proud of the significant progress made, especially given the impact of COVID-19 on patient flow. The Hamlin clinical team's unwavering determination to continue Dr Catherine Hamlin's work is an inspiration.
