WHO recommendation on duration of bladder catheterization after surgical repair of simple obstetric urinary fistula

Short period of postoperative bladder catheterization effective for repair of simple urinary fistula 

The World Health Organization has issued new recommendations on the length of bladder catheterization following the surgical repair of a simple obstetric urinary fistula.  

The WHO Guidelines are for health-care professionals, particularly fistula surgeons and nurses providing postoperative care to women after surgery for obstetric urinary fistula.
