Meet the team: Sega

Tseganesh is the new Communication Officer at Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia.

Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Tseganesh’s impressive resumé includes an MA and BA in Journalism and Communication from Addis Ababa University and Bahir Dar University respectively and she is currently pursuing a PhD in Media and Communication Studies at Addis Ababa University.

Tseganesh served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Communication at Bahir Dar University and participated as an exchange student at NLA University College in Kristiansand, Norway.

“As a Communication Officer, I am contributing to a meaningful cause and making a positive impact on the lives of women. Sharing their stories means amplifying their voices and shedding light on their journey to raise awareness, inspire empathy and encourage support for the cause.” – Tseganesh

Her professional interests lie in health communication for change and reducing stigmatising attitudes. She has several years’ experience in teaching, supervising, research and communication at Bahir Dar University.

Tseganesh has a passion for communication, a dedication to academic pursuits and a commitment to making a positive impact in her community and beyond.
